honing in on time tested traditional hat making methods, our focus is on silhouettes that are rooted in history and are here to stay. all of our hats are custom made and hand finished through and through. poplar molds are cut to clients heads specifications to ensure a perfect fit. Trimmings available are proper grosgrain ribbon, hand loomed beaded bands, and various silver/stone adorned leather bands.

we do not offer any branding or distressing of any sorts. inside of each rhode and sons hat, sits a Texas handcranked chainstitch embroidered satin liner. customization is limited to custom sweatband perforation using a late 19th century cummins initial machine. see our work here.
